The simplest recipe for introducing solids to babies is moong dal and rice kichri. It is simple to prepare it, just take little moon dal and rice, cook it till it becomes very soft with pinch of turmeric powder and salt...grind it in a mixer and make it into a fine paste before feeding it to the baby.
